About the Role

Session.Care is a booking platform for spas, salons, therapists, and wellness businesses. You'll own the AI chat assistant that answers booking and service questions on behalf of small wellness operators. The core challenge is scope: the assistant should answer questions about services, hours, and availability — and firmly refuse to answer medical questions, which get handed off to the practitioner. You'll work on refusal classifiers, handoff flows, and the per-business knowledge layer. Ideal candidate: has built customer-support LLM applications and understands why "the bot should just try to help" is the wrong answer in medical-adjacent contexts.

Requirements

- 2+ years LLM application development - Strong grasp of refusal classification and scope enforcement - Laravel/Livewire experience - Experience with handoff-to-human flows - Background in healthcare, wellness, or medically-adjacent software a strong plus - Clear writing for end-user-facing assistant messages
