About the Role
Misa.Solutions is an AI-Socratic tutor for K-12 students — the assistant asks guiding questions rather than giving direct answers, and the system is COPPA-compliant with no child data ever sold or used for training. You'll work on the Socratic prompting layer, the teacher-reviewable transcript system, and the guardrails that keep the assistant from caving to student pressure.
Hardest problem on the docket: how not to confirm wrong answers when a confident student pushes back. You'll own evals and the behavior guardrails that prevent that.
Ideal candidate: cares about education, knows how to design LLM evals, and has a working understanding of COPPA and student-data compliance.
Requirements
- 3+ years LLM application development
- Experience designing LLM evaluation suites
- Working knowledge of COPPA and student privacy
- Laravel or equivalent web application experience
- Background in education technology a plus
- Commitment to not compromising pedagogy for engagement metrics
